Albert D. Griffith

  Albert D. Griffith, 90, formerly of N. Pine St., Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019, at his daughter’s residence in Florida.  Born March 30, 1929 in Reedsville, he was a son of the late Virginia Mae Griffith.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine K. (Kistler) Griffith on Feb. 3, 2004.  Surviving are: children, Albert D. Griffith, Jr. of Worthington, KY., James M. Griffith of Avon, OH., and Frances A. Rouzer of Tampa, FL., four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  He was a graduate of the Reedsville High School and Penn State University.  Albert was a U.S. Air Force veteran and achieved the rank of Sergeant.  He had worked at the Public Assistance Office in Lewistown from 1963 to 1970, and then worked as a Social Worker at the Altoona Hospital.  He was a member of the Church of Christ, Lewistown.

  There will be a graveside service 2:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, at Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville, with Pastor Jean Ward officiating.
