Amy L. Hoover

  Amy L. Hoover, age 53, passed away on Sunday September 15th, 2019 at Geisinger Hospital in Danville. She was born February 25th, 1966 in Lewistown Pennsylvania to Harold and Janet (Hettinger) Penepacker. She was a 1984 graduate of Kish high school, and married Larry L. Hoover on May 18th, 1985 at Milroy CMA church. She worked at Watsons Optical as an executive assistant for 28 years.

  Amy was loved by all and a great friend to many. She enjoyed going on cruises and traveling to the Outer Banks with her best friend and partner in crime Larry. Amy was considered a Black Friday shopping expert, and a perfectionist in everything she did. If you needed something, you went to Amy, whether it was planning a wedding, baby shower, or a party. She also was involved in organizing several Relay for Life benefits. When she wasn’t enjoying the company of her friends, she was busy spoiling her grandchildren.

  She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Janet. She is survived by her husband, Larry; son Jason and wife Tanya of Milroy and grandchildren, Grace and Lucas; her sister Lisa and husband Steve Watson of Reedsville, and their sons Evan and Ethan; her brother Clayton and wife Sheila of Milroy and their daughter Amber; as well as many other brother and sister in laws; and many nieces and nephews.

  A viewing will be held on Wednesday September 18th at Milroy CMA church from 6-8 PM, and funeral on Thursday September 19th at 10 AM also at Milroy CMA church. Interment at Church Hill cemetery to follow. There will be a meal provided by the church following the funeral.
