Forrest R. ‘Sonny’ Kerstetter, Jr., 83, of Milroy, passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 10, 2019, at his home. Born May 16, 1936 in Milroy, he was a son of the late Forrest R. and Claramae (Ranck) Kerstetter. His wife, Joan M. (Lepley) Kerstetter, whom he married Sept. 11, 1969, survives. Also surviving are: siblings, Bonnie Dalby of Reedsville, Walter Jim Kerstetter of Sunbury, Duane 'Tip' Kerstetter of Milroy, Mary Secrest of Mt. Union, Lorie Treaster of Yeagertown; his Mother-in-law, Dorothy Lepley, and many neices and nephews. Sonny was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Gene Kerstetter in 1994. He had worked at Himes 322 Service Center and a couple of other garages in the area. He retired from Howard C. Kline NAPA Auto Parts, Valley St., Lewistown. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a 1955 graduate of Armagh-Brown High School. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge # 143, City Hook & Ladder, and the Milroy American Legion. He enjoyed going to auctions with his best friend Jim Renninger.
