Maxine H. Moyer

Maxine H. Moyer, 96, of Reedsville, passed away Thursday morning, May 9, 2019, at Valley View Haven, Belleville.  Born Feb. 14, 1923 in Alfarata, she was a daughter of the late Jay H. and Dorothy (Anderson) Packard.  Her husband Milton G. Moyer preceded her in death on March 23, 2011.  Survivng are: grandsons, Anthony Scott Moyer of Lewistown, Dennis R. Moyer, Jr. and wife Allyson of Landisville; Thad A. Moyer and wife Heidi of Belleville; daughters-in-law, Linda (Moyer) Phillips of Mifflintown, Patricia Moyer of Milroy; four step grandchildren, and a number of great and step great grandchildren great great and step great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Ray Moyer, Feb. 1998 and Milton R. Moyer, Dec. 2017.  Maxine had retired from Arrow Shirt Factory, Lewistown.  She was a member of the Church Hill United Methodist Church, Reedsville, and was a graduate of Yeagertown High School.  She enjoyed going to camp, loved cooking, and was an avid gardener.

Graveside services for family and friends will be held 11:30 a.m., Friday May, 17, 2019 at Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to: Church Hill United Methodist Church, 199 Woodland Circle, Reedsville, Pa. 17084.
