Alvin L. Kauffman, 71, of Milroy, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 18, 2021 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. Born Feb. 5, 1950 in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Ned H. Kauffman, Sr. and Eva P. (Pennebaker) Kauffman. His wife, Donna L. (Knepp) Kauffman, whom he married Oct. 7, 1978, survives. Also surviving are: children, Rodney L. Kauffman and wife Jennifer, Heather Nichole Albert and husband Brian, all of Milroy; grandchildren, Sydney, Chase, Cyrus, Tucker, Brian, Jackson; siblings, Jacqueline Lindsey of Lewistown, William James Kauffman and wife Sharon of Duncannon, Ned H. Kauffman, Jr. and wife Dottie of Reedsville, Mary Kauffman of Mullins, S.C. He was preceded in death by: grandparents, Leonard Alvin and Willa M. Kauffman; brother, Jay E. Kauffman; brother-in-law, John Lindsey.
He was a 1969 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School. Alvin was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was retired from Standard Steel, Burnham. He was a huge fisherman and hunter and was the camp cook at Camp Underwood. He loved his grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville. Family will receive friends one hour before the memorial service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy, with Military Honors by the Milroy American Legion.
