Bert A. Bowen

  Bert A. Bowen, 76, of Milroy, passed away Monday morning, July 20, 2020 at Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.  Born Feb. 29, 1944 in Lewistown, he was a son of the late James S. and Midlred E. (Benner) Bowen.  His wife, Linda J. (Johnson) Bowen, whom he married Aug. 5, 1966, survives.

  Also surviving are: a son Bret A. Bowen of Elizabethtown; siblings, Richard L. Bowen and wife Sandy of Port Royal, Dennis E. Bowen and wife Shirley of Lewistown.  He was preceded in death by a brother James S. Bowen, Jr.

  He had been a Minister at Milroy United Methodist Church for 11 years, and previously was a self-employed electrician and Notary.  He was a 1962 graduate of Chief Logan High School and 1997 graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College.  He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and the Yeagertown Lions Club.

  Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  A private interment will be held in Mt. Rock Cemetery, Lewistown.
