Carme G Tressler

Carme G. Tressler, 83, of Milroy, PA, passed away at Greenwood Village in Lewistown on Monday, March 25, 2024.

He was born on April 8, 1940 in Milroy to the late Russell W. and Evelyn Mae (Knepp) Tressler.  On September 23, 1966, he married Connie Lee (Sunday) Tressler, who survives.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Carme Allen Tressler on June 5, 2023.

Along with his wife of 57 years, he is survived by children: Tonya Dumm and husband Rick of Lewistown, Rodney Hudson and wife Marcia of Reedsville, daughter-in-law Sherri Tressler of Milroy; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Justin Tressler and wife Caitlyn of Maryland, Alison Goss, husband Matt and sons Tucker and Brodie of Lewistown, Joshua Hudson of Lock Haven, Brooke Peters, husband Trey and children Abigail and Thomas of Purcellville, VA, Nathan Hudson, wife Sarah and daughters Alayna and Kayley of Reedsville, Jordan Walters, wife Katie and son Weston of Enola, Jacob Walters, Jolee Walters and son Khai, Jenna Walters, all of Milroy.

He was a 1958 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School and a US Army Veteran.  He had worked at Fairmont Dairy/Dean Foods in Belleville, where he retired in 2004 after 31 years of service.

He was a life member of the Milroy Fire Company and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Milroy. 

In his younger years, he enjoyed rabbits.  After retirement, he enjoyed visiting the Milroy Shoe Shop and delivering the Bargain Shopper to his local friends and he also enjoyed playing parcheesi.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Milroy Firehouse from 5 – 7 p.m.
