Carol J. 'Red' (McKnight) Maben

  Carol J. ‘Red’ Maben, 86, of Reedsville, passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 12, 2021, at William Penn Healthcare, Lewistown.  Born March 8, 1935 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late David E. and Emily (Morrow) McKnight.  Her husband, Samuel C. Maben, preceded her in death, April 21, 2006.

  Surviving are: a daughter, Fleta M. Maben; granddaughter, Beth A. Snyder and husband Billie; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Caitlyn, Alyssa Snyder; a very special great great granddaughter, Arianna Kurtz; a sister Patricia Underhill.  She was preceded in death by siblings: Hilton, David ‘Bill’, Helen, Maye, John, Blair ‘Wesley’, Hugh, Lillian, Atha, and Vivian.

  She had worked at Fisher Electronics, Scotty’s Fashion, and Bohn Funeral Home.  She loved all her nieces and nephews, and everyone she knew.  Her cats, Jeff and Tommy meant a lot to her.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren and great great granddaughter.

  There will be a funeral service 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with Pastor Jean Ward officiating.  A viewing will be held one hour before the funeral.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy.
