Charles E. Shilling, Sr., 77, of Lewistown, passed away Tuesday morning, Sept. 7, 2021 at his home. Born Aug. 11, 1944 in Lewistown he was a son of the late Charles E.H. and Agnes Faye (Rowe) Shilling. His wife, Bessie M. (Wagner) Shilling, whom he married July 17, 1967, survives.
Also surviving are: his children Charles E. Shilling, Jr. and wife Tina of Lewistown, Charity Larson and husband Donald of Belleville; siblings, Paul H. Shilling of Gladson, S.C., Karl F. Shilling of Lewistown, Phyllis Faye Migliore of Allentown; two grandchildren, Kayla Shilling and Alex Larson; three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his step-mother, Anna S. (Bowers) Shilling and a brother, John E. Shilling.
Charles had retired from Standard Steel, Burnham, and also worked part time at Coble’s Foods. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran, and was a graduate of Chief Logan High School, and a member of the Lewistown Church of God.
There will be a funeral Friday morning, Sept. 10, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with Pastor Charles Brown officiating. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville. There will be a viewing one hour before the funeral at the funeral home.
