Clair E. ‘Skinner’ Smith, 81, of Milroy, passed away Friday morning, Nov. 26, 2021, at William Penn Healthcare, Lewistown. Born April 16, 1940 in Spring Mills, he was a son of the late Harry G. and Anna Bertha (Weaver) Smith. His wife, Bertha M. ‘Ike’ (Lash) Smith, preceded him in death on Oct. 5, 1999.
Surviving are: daughters, Amy S. Phillips and companion Michael Petrillo, Lisa A. Yetter, all of Milroy; a sister, Grace A. Fultz of Spring Mills; grandchildren, Justin Phillips and wife Rashigh, Brittany McClenahen and husband Kevin; great grandchildren, Everly, Rowan, Lenox. He was preceded in death by: siblings, Shirley Addleman, Harold J. Smith, Martha J. Snyder, Mary Snyder, and two infant sisters.
He had been a truck driver for Lewistown Cabinet, and earlier drove for S. L. Wright Trucking. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Vietnam War. Clair was a member of the Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church, Reedsville, and the Milroy American Legion.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021 at the Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church, Reedsville, with a viewing one hour before the funeral. Interment will be in Birch Hill Cemetery, Burnham.
