Connie R. Himes

  Connie R. Himes, 72, of Milroy, passed away Friday afternoon, Sept. 10, 2021, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.  Born Jan. 15, 1949 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late George E. Havice, Sr. and Evelyn I. (Sweitzer) Havice.  Her husband, John R. Himes, whom she married Sept. 10, 1971, exactly 50 years, survives.  Also surviving are: children, John R. Himes, Jr. and wife Jackie of Belleville, Troy Lynn Tallon of Lewistown, Julia Tallon of Reedsville; siblings, George E. Havice, Jr. and wife Joyce of Reedsville, Linda K. Knouse and husband Gregory of Lewistown, Amy L. Nale and husband William of Reedsville; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack A. Havice.
  She had worked at Scottys Fashions, Lewistown and was a 1967 graduate of Kish High School.
  A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at Barrville Mennonite Church, with Pastor Carl Geissinger officiating.  There will be a viewing one hour before the funeral, Thursday at the church.  Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
