Connie J. Maben

Connie J. Maben, 74, of William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lewistown, and formerly of 68 Creek Drive, Milroy, passed away at 3:37 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at William Penn.

She was born on Oct. 18, 1948, in Lewistown, a daughter of Paul E. Orner of Reedsville and the late Betty (Shilling) Orner. She was united in marriage on Dec. 16, 1957, to William L. Maben Jr. who preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 2020.

She is survived by two daughters, Stacey J. Ripple and husband Richard L. of Lewistown and Wendy L. Benson and husband Brian of McVeytown; four grandchildren, Stefani Powell, Shawni Powell, Seth Benson, and Zane Benson; as well as seven great-grandchildren.

Connie was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by an infant brother and a sister, Sandra E. Orner.

She graduated from Kishacoquillas High School in 1966. In her earlier years, she was employed at Murphy’s, then she went to work as a nurse’s aide at William Penn for nearly 20 years. Most recently, she was a greeter at Walmart.

Connie enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and visiting the horses at the neighbor’s farm.
