Dorothy L. Lepley, 98, of 74 S. Main St., Milroy, passed away at 9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on Nov. 28, 1924, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Russell M. Norton and Florence S. (Barger) Norton. Dorothy was united in marriage with Max E. Lepley, who preceded her in death on May 18, 2002.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Joan M. Kerstetter, of Milroy, a granddaughter Jennifer L. Sheaffer and husband, Allen, of Newville, and two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Zach Sheaffer. She was preceded in death by a son, Max E. Lepley Jr., a great-grand-daughter, Madison Renee Sheaffer, a brother, Edward Norton, a sister, Mary McConahy, and a son-in-law, Sonny Kerstetter.
Dorothy worked as a seamstress at Arrow Shirt Factory for 34 years. She was a member of the Lewistown Loyal Order of Moose No 143, City Hook and Ladder, and Milroy Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to sew, crochet, and knit. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the great-grand-children, going to the casino, camping, sitting on the porch, and watching Penn State Football.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, at Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 55 N. Main St., Reedsville, with Pastor Doug Pierce officiating. Burial will take place at Juniata Memorial Park following the service. Her family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
