Douglas A, “Tuffy” Wagner, 81, of New Lancaster Valley Road, Milroy, died at 8:09 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Geisinger – Lewistown Hospital.
He was born on March 14, 1940, in McClure, a son of the late Nevin and Zelda A. (Peffer) Wagner. In 1967 he married Charlotte A. “Charlie”(Savitts) Wagner who preceded him in death on May 13, 2014. Surviving are: son, David Allen Wagner, of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, niece Terry Moyer, of Beavertown: nephew Gerald L. Knepp, of McClure.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his wife, by his sister, LaRue A. Knepp and one nephew, Nevin Knepp.
He worked at Lozier Corporation in McClure for over 40 years before his retirement.
He enjoyed metal detecting, listening to old Western music and watching Western movies, he also enjoyed studying the Bible and attended services at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lewistown.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 22, 2021, at the Salem United Methodist Church, 3437 New Lancaster Valley Road, Milroy, with Pastor Dale Benner officiating. Interment will be next to his wife at the New Lancaster Valley Cemetery in Milroy.
