Duane K. “Tip” Kerstetter, 80, of 69 Farmette Estate Dr., Reedsville, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
He was born February 5, 1943 in Milroy, a son of the late Forrest and Clara Mae (Ranck) Kerstetter.
He is survived by: his children, Denise L. Kerstetter & husband Scott Searer of Yeagertown, Douglas K. Kerstetter & wife Rhonda of Reedsville, a granddaughter, Madelyn Kerstetter of Reedsville, two sisters, Bonnie Dalby of Reedsville and Mary Secrest & husband Rex of Mt. Union, and a brother, Jim Kerstetter & wife Connie of Sunbury.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Barry Kerstetter and Sonny Kerstetter.
He was the owner of Lewistown Cabinet Company which he started in 1972 and operated until his retirement in 2009.
Tip was a member of the Milroy Methodist Church.
He owned and trained barrel racing horses. He enjoyed going to horse shows and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was always helping people in any way he could and was a tremendous contributor to his community.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with Pastor Christopher Long officiating. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Milroy following the service. His family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
