Elwood M. ‘Ed’ Stuter, Jr., 77, of Reedsville, was taken by the Lord, Friday afternoon, March 27, 2020, at Ohesson Manor, Lewistown. Born May 14, 1942 in Belleville, he was a son of the late Elwood M. Stuter, Sr. and Faye (Lantz) Stuter. Surviving are two brothers, William Stuter and wife Connie of Reedsville, Ronald Stuter and wife Lona of Burnham. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Faye Stuter. Elwood retired from the Standard Steel Melt Shop in 2004. He was a member of the Mountain View Mennonite Chapel, Reedsville. He was a 1961 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School, and a U.S. Army veteran.
Elwood enjoyed hunting and fishing, going to camp in the mountains with his brothers and nephews Brian, Todd, Eric, and Bill and a bunch of great nephews. He also enjoyed family gatherings, he would always say he wasn’t very hungry, but would fill his plate. Ed especially enjoyed going out for breakfast with his friends to argue about something.
