Evelyn P. Wunz

Evelyn P. Wunz, 97, of 55 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023. She was born on August 30, 1925 in Erie, PA to Leonard and Sarah Evelyn (Brakeman) Pastorius (who passed away during childbirth).  She was raised by her step-mother, the late Margaret (Bates) Pastorius. 

On September 2, 1950, she married Gerald A. Wunz, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was a son-in-law, Charles Nale.  She was the last of her immediate family.

Surviving are her children:  Eric Wunz and wife Patricia of Baker, OR, Barry Wunz and wife Kathryn of Bellefonte, and Kristine Nale of Reedsville, eight grandchildren Gregory Wunz, Carla Eppler, Christopher Wunz, Lauren Kibe, Nathan Wunz, Thomas Wunz, Joshua Nale and Joseph Wunz; nine great-grandchildren Christian Conway, Kimberly Conway, Ethan Conway, Sydney Wunz, Quin Wunz, Thea Wunz, Emery Wunz, Zoey Evelyn Wunz, and Charlotte Kibe.

Evelyn attended Erie Business School and worked as a legal secretary for a number of years.  She was primarily a homemaker.  She was an active member of the Milroy United Methodist Church.  She served as a den mother for the Cub Scout Troop in Milroy for several years.  She loved to travel with her husband and hosted many wonderful family vacations.  She enjoyed gardening and sewing, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at the Milroy United Methodist Church with Pastor Christopher Long officiating.  Burial will take place at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Erie, PA at a later date.
