Gary Clark, Sr. Obituary

Gary L. Clark, Sr., 73, of 3975 US Highway 522 North, Lewistown, went to be with his heavenly father at 5:11 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville PA.

He was born on August 14, 1950 in Blossburg, PA to the late Frederick L. and Charlotte (Williamson) Clark.  On February 27, 1988, he married Elaine D. (Vonada) Clark, who survives at home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Clark, Jr. in 2003, and a brother David Clark.

Surviving along with his wife are children Kelly Jones and husband Jesse of Bradford, PA, William Anderson and wife L’Oreal of Newport; 4 grandchildren, Rodney Jones, Jasmine Wilson and husband Michael, Leeland and Lorelai Anderson; 3 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Gary and Dean Wilson; and a sister Jean Gilbert and husband Mark of Flint, Michigan.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1979 and was in the Vietnam War from July 1969-1970.  He retired from Corning Glass in State College after 26 years of service. 

He was a member of the VFW Post 7011 in Lewistown, serving on the Board of Trustees, as well as a member of the Brooklyn Hose Company #3 Social Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles #4294 in Burnham.

He was a very loving husband and loved spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids as well as his friends. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tease people.  He loved shooting pool and loved his animals.  In previous years he was an avid hunter and fisherman.

There will be a memorial service held at the Wagner United Methodist Church, 6280 US 522N, McClure, PA, on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Josh Randolph officiating.
