Obituary

Gary R. Snook, 82, of 6 Colonial Drive, Reedsville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, March 20, 2023, at his home.

He was born Dec. 11, 1940, in Lewistown, a son of the late William C. and Phyllis (Fluke) Snook. On Jan. 27, 1961, he married Phyllis M. Snook, she resides at their home.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by: his children, Richard C. Snook and spouse, Billi, of Duncannon, and Barbara J. Turner and spouse, David, of Mechanicsburg; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, as well as a sister, Joann Carper, of Lewistown, and a sister-in-law, Betty Snook, of Dover, PA.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara L. Haywood, and a brother, Lawrence W. Snook.

Gary was a truck driver and drove for multiple trucking companies in the Lewistown area.

He was a member of the Burnham Church of the Brethren, was an avid hunter and also enjoyed fishing. He loved his little dog, Annee, and was an awesome Dad who also loved his family very much.

His services will be private and at the convenience of the family, with Pastor George Yocum officiating. Burial will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
