Harry Fultz Obituary

Harry D. “Spike” Fultz, 78, formerly of 326 New Lancaster Valley Road, Milroy, passed away at 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at Greenwood Village, Lewistown.

He was born on Jan. 30, 1945 in Lewistown to the late Melvin E. Fultz and Manis E. (Reed) Fryer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his spouse, Linda K. (Dillman) Fultz on Oct. 1, 1998.

Surviving are sons: Keith E. Fultz of Milroy and Randy L. Fultz and companion Miriam of Selinsgrove, Granddaughter Trista Hindman and husband, Jonathan of Shippensburg, sisters, Sara Hoover of Siglerville, Susan Shawver of McClure, sister-in-law, Donna Simonetti of Yeagertown and brother-in-law, Dave Hunter of Treaster Valley, as well as numerous special nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews that he referred to as “rednecks.”

Along with his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Speece and M. Kay Hunter, a brother, Larry T. Dippery and three brothers-in-law: Bill Hoover, Richard Speece and John Shawver, Jr.

He was a 1963 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School. He was first employed at Sitkins Industries, DeVecchis and Sons, followed by Jay-Wood and he retired from Donsco Foundry in Belleville, where he worked as a lift-truck operator.

He attended St Mark’s United Methodist Church in Havice Valley. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being in the mountains and outdoors.

His services will be private and at the convenience of the family with Pastor Dale Benner officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery.
