Hazel Thomas Obituary

Hazel G. Thomas, 84, of Lewistown, passed away Thursday morning, Mar. 18, 2021, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. Born Nov. 1, 1936 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Foster Nelson Grose and Daisey Gertrude (Snare) Grose Loudenslager. Her husband, Howard Franklin Thomas, preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 2017. Surviving are: children, James E. Thomas and wife Marianne of Reedsville, Steven H. Thomas and wife Debra of Bel Air, MD., Tina Toomey and husband Michael of York, Carolyn Jean Snyder and husband David of Lewistown; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

She had retired from the Lewistown Hospital in 2015.

There will be a private interment service at Vira Methodist Cemetery.
