Jack W. Reed

  Jack W. Reed, 85, of Lewistown, passed away Monday evening, April 19, 2021 at his residence.  He was born April 5, 1936 in Altoona, a son of the late Alexander and Ellen F. Reed.  His wife, Mary C. (Fultz) Reed, whom he married Oct. 7, 1961, survives.  Also surviving are: a daughter, Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Reed of Lewistown; a son-in-law, Charles Erhard of Mifflintown; grandchildren, Sarah Erhard and Hayden Erhard; many nieces and nephews.  He was the last of his immediate family.  Jack was preceded in death by a daughter, Eugenia ‘Jeannie’ Erhard, July 24, 2020.  He helped raise Linda Fultz and Bonnie Shemory, his sisters-in-law.

  He had worked at Kovalchik Salvage Co., Overhead Door Co., Bohn Funeral Home, and was a handyman for Rick Smeltz, the Realtor.

  There will be a viewing 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2021 at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville.  Memorial contributions should be made to: Family Hospice, 20 Sheraton Drive, Altoona, Pa. 16601.
