John Riley Obituary

John Andrew Riley, 66, of Milroy, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.  He was born on September 26, 1957 in Ashtabula, Ohio.  He is survived by his parents Jerry and Betty Meaney of Ashtabula, Ohio.  On June 3, 2016, he married his wife Cathy (George) Riley, who resides at home.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by children, Melissa McCann and husband Joel of Colorado Springs, CO, Andrew Riley of Milroy, Stevie McNitt of Tampa Florida, Zane McNitt and wife Sage of Lewistown, and brother-by-choice, Terry Willoughby and wife Sheila of Milroy, grandchildren: Addison, Hadley and Liam McCann and soon-to-be born, Rosella McNitt.

John retired from Comcast Cable in 2016 after 35 years of service.  He served from 1978-1981 in the U.S. Navy on the USS McCandless. 

He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding his Harley and spending time with his family and friends.  He was a member of the Milroy American Legion.

Per his wishes there will be no services.
