Julia A. Jordan, 85, of 22 Clover Street, Milroy, passed away at 9:16 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born on March 6, 1937 in Milroy, a daughter of the late Herman E. and Mary Ellen (Kerstetter) Bonson. She was first married to Captain John H. Guthridge, who passed away August 29, 1969. She then married Joseph D. Jordan who passed away in December 2020.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas A. Guthridge & wife Nancy (Harper) of Reedsville; Kristi A. Dippery & husband William F. Dippery, Jr. of Lewistown; a step-daughter, Donna Jordan of Unionville, PA; grandchildren, Cory W. Dippery & wife Ashley, Jarrod A. Dippery & wife Amy, Mary Ellen Havice & husband Adam, Taylor F. Dippery & wife Brittney, Carla Jo Hockenberry & husband Jeff, Barry Gilbert & wife Rebecka, Danielle Bryan and Casey Bryan; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, two sisters, Cecelia Staib & husband Ronald and Mae Lee Bonson. Along with her parents and spouses, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Harry N. Bonson, and two great-granddaughters, Karrisa and Mabel.
She graduated in 1955 from Armagh-Brown High School and retired in 2002 from Murata-Erie in State College. She was a member of the Milroy Alliance Church and enjoyed doing work search puzzles, cleaning her house, and spending time with her family. She loved her dogs. She had a heart of gold and was always concerned about others and putting them ahead of herself. Julia always treated her children’s friends like they were family.
At her request, there will be no funeral services.
