June Sheaffer Obituary

June L. Sheaffer, 88, formerly of Reedsville and Danville, passed away Sunday morning, Sept. 20, 2020 at William Penn Healthcare, Lewistown. Born Jan. 17, 1932 in Reedsville she was a daughter of the late Budd T. and Mary C. (Knepp) Longwell.

Her husband, Jack R. Sheaffer, preceded her in death on July 15, 2010.

Surviving are: children, Jackie Spicher and husband David of Belleville, Patti Pletcher and husband Dale of Milroy, Jody Garman of Greensboro, N.C.; a sister, Phyllis M. Longwell of Milroy; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: brothers: Thomas A. Longwell, Robert C. Longwell, Lee E. Longwell; and a sister, Margaret Hummel.

She had worked at Arrow Shirt Factory, Lewistown. She was a 1951 graduate of Reedsville High School and played Clarinet in the band.

Private graveside services in Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville, will be held at the convenience of the family.
