Margareta Regester

  Margareta Regester age 102 of Yeagertown passed away at Danville, Geissinger on May 27, 2020.  Margareta was born on May 11, 1918 in Darmstadt, Germany.  She was the daughter of the late William and Anna Buchert.  Her husband of 34 years, Charles Regester, preceded her in death on August 24, 1983.

  Margareta is survived by her son, H. Paul Semder and the late Loa Semder of Lewistown.  She is also survived by: a sister, Anna Ireland of Germany and formerly of Yeagertown; three grandchildren, Stacy Fox & husband Robert of Reedsville, Brian Semder & wife Heidi of Carlisle, Rodney Semder & wife Aime of Lewistown; six great-grandchildren, Heather Fox Burkholder & husband Patrick Burkholder, of Lewistown, Garrett Fox of Reedsville, Codey Semder & wife Alicia of New Jersey, Tyler Semder & wife Katie of Dillsburg, and Logan Semder of Carlisle; and three great-great grandchildren, Emma & Chase Semder, children of (Tyler & Katie Semder), Aubrey Burkholder, child of ( Heather & Patrick Burkholder).  She was preceded in death by brothers: Ernest, Willi and Fritz Buchert; and a sister, Helen Aster.

  Margareta was very proud of her German heritage and will be fondly remembered by her family.  Margareta’s German friend, Margaret Smith, of Lewistown, and Dottie Yuengling, of New Lancaster Valley, were her very best friends.
