Mary M. Graves, 79, of Milroy, passed away at 10:10 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Locust Grove Retirement Village.
Born on February 28, 1943, in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Blood and Wilhemin J. (Wellen) Simprosa. Mary was preceded in death by her former husband, Robert L. Graves, who passed away on January 2, 2000.
She is survived by her children, Roberta Smith and husband, Steven, of Lamar, Kelly Shaffer and companion Dave Baldwin, of Churchville, NY, Karen Moore and husband, Terry, of Milroy, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Joseph Blood, Jr., Randy Blood, Anthony Blood, and Laurie (Blood) Stevenson.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Ralph Blood, and a brother, William Blood.
Mary received her GED and went to nursing school at Centre County Vo-Tech. She was employed as an LPN for many years until her retirement. A Methodist by faith, Mary volunteered for the Milroy Food Bank and regularly attended the Milroy Senior Center. She enjoyed cooking, doing crafts, and spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Burial will take place at that time at Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville.
