Rebecca J. Hearn

Rebecca J. “BJ” Hearn, 67, of 107 Fawn Road, Reedsville, passed away at 9:35 am Monday, August 1, 2022 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

                She was born January 8, 1955 in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Ralph A. and Beatrice I. (Clark) Laubach. On July 5, 1981, she married Douglas L. Hearn, who resides at their home.

                She is survived by a son Andrew Hearn of Reedsville, a brother, Robert Laubach of Selingsgrove, and two sisters, Janet Karpenko of McAlisterville and Judy Petit of McAlisterville & her husband Elsworth of Colorado, as well as many nieces & nephews.

                BJ had her master’s degree in English and served as a teacher for a number of years before transitioning to a position in Human Resources. Her most recent employment was in the Human Resources department at Trinity Packaging in Lewistown.

                She was a member of the Mifflintown Seven-day Adventist Church. She was a talented artist, was a writer and had several of her poems published in national publications.

                Per her request, there will be no services.
