Richard Howard Antoine, Sr, 93, of Valley View Terrace, Belleville, formerly of Milroy, went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2022. He was born Aug. 27, 1928 in Clarks Summit, a son of the late Herbert W. and Eva A. (Miller) Antoine, Sr. On Feb. 2, 1953 he married Carrie M. (Grove) Antoine, who preceded him in death. He was a 1946 graduate of Benton Vocational High School and a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from Agway in 1991 and was a founding member of Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church. He and his wife often hosted missionary students for CEF summer programs. He was a living example of God’s love, leading many to know the love of Christ. He enjoyed playing cards, bingo and shuffleboard with friends and hunting with his father, siblings, and son. His grandchildren cherish memories of going on vacations, and singing hymns and other songs together in the car. “This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior, all the day long.” Now he is singing with Jesus. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Herbert Antoine, Jr, Imogene Cucura, Lillian Perry, Alberta Antoine, Wanita Stanton and Glenda Major, 5 siblings-in-law, Janice, Shirley and Mildred Antoine, Peter Cucura and Lynn Edwards and 1 son-in-law, Donald Hess. Richard leaves behind his 4 loving children, Richard (Linda) Antoine, Jr, Danna (William Wellman) Antoine, Tammy Hess, and Tina (Randy) Wert; 7 grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, Shawna (Joel) Henry and children Elsbeth, Lilliana, Paxton and Ara, Richard (Erica) Antoine, III, and children, Elena and Aaron, Randa (Eric) Leckrone and children Anthony, Laine, Ethen, and Jude, Beau William (Mary Beth) Antoine Wellman, and sons Emerson and Wade, Danielle (William) Hersh and children Otis and Kaia, Kacy (Matthew) Gray and daughters Laurel and Juliette, and Morgan Lee (Morgan Elizabeth Sugg) Antoine Wellman; 4 siblings, David, Donald, and Edward (Brenda) Antoine, and Frances Edwards and a brother-in-law, Thurman (Tracy Trayer) Grove. A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 am, Friday, April 8, 2022 at Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church, 99 Taylor Dr, Reedsville, PA followed by a funeral service, with Pastors Douglas Sabin and Luke Shinskie officiating. Anyone who would like to wear blue, in honor of Richard’s favorite color, is welcome to do so. Interment will be at Miller Cemetery, Justus, PA. There will be no graveside service. Flowers will be furnished by the family. Memorial contributions can be made to Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church. Arrangements are under the care of Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville.
