Robert Barnett Obituary

Robert C. Barnett, 86, of 77 Little Mountain Drive, Milroy, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.

He was the son of late Clair C. and Sara Thelma (Mowery) Barnett.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Tammy Berrier.

Surviving is his companion of 31 years, Deanna Birch; a daughter Lorre Sprout of Dauphin, PA; three grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild and one great-grandchild.

He was a graduate of Armagh-Brown High School and attended Juniata College.  He was a tremendous athlete, playing baseball and basketball in high school and baseball in college.

He was the former owner of Barnett’s Electric in Milroy, which was his father’s business, that he took over following his father’s retirement.  In their retirement, he and his companion became avid fishermen; they especially enjoyed going night fishing.  They also enjoyed going on mountain drives to see wildlife.  He was a wonderful handyman and did many renovations to their home through the years.

Per his wishes, there will be no services.
