Robert E. Kaufman

Robert E. Kaufman, 84, of Milroy, passed away at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Greenwood Village.

He was born on June 19, 1939 in Lewistown to the late William Ray and Esther Grace (Yetter) Kaufman.  His wife, Carol E. (Wilson) Kaufman, whom he married on October 10, 1958, passed away on March 27, 2019.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson Jordan A. Kaufman and a brother James H. Kaufman.

Surviving are children Douglas A. Kaufman of Selinsgrove, Andrew J. Kaufman of Milroy, Pamela K. Duke and husband Jack of Reedsville, 2 grandchildren Brandon Kaufman and Jennifer (Yoder) Stine, 5 great grandchildren Bradan, Santana, Vaeda, Seth, and Alayziah, and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was a 1957 graduate of Armagh-Brown High School.  He had been employed at Royale Dairy and retired in 1995 from Standard Steel.  He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Siglerville; former member of the Milroy Lions Club and had previously served as a little league baseball coach.

He enjoyed watching Philadelphia Phillies baseball, Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State Football.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

There will be a viewing on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street Reedsville.  The burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
