Ronald G. Bonson,77, of New Lancaster Valley Road, Milroy, passed away, Monday morning, Feb. 15, 2021, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. Born September 15, 1943 in Burnham, he was a son of the late Henry G. and Ethel M. (Pennepacker) Bonson. His wife, of 54 years, Karen E. (Setzler) Bonson, and his beloved dog, Peggy Sue, survive. Also surviving are: children, Ronald W. Bonson and wife Jean of Lewistown, Don Bonson and wife Diana of Beaver Springs, Glen ‘Chuck’ Bonson and wife Janette of Mifflintown; grandchildren, Autum Carpenter, Scott Bonson, John Bonson, Kitiarra Stidfole, Amanda and Brad Mitch, Tiffney Stringer, Tessa and Michael Zechman, Colby Bonson, Carrie Bonson, Emily Bonson, Glen ‘CJ’ Bonson, Jr.; great grandchildren, Kylie Mitch, Aiden Mitch, Gracie Mitch, Cami Mitch, Miles Mitch, Sophia Zechman (on the way); siblings, Nancy Wert and husband Curtis of Milroy, Larry Bonson of Milroy, Henry Eugene Bonson and wife Debra of Virginia. He was preceded in death by an infant sister Joann Carol Bonson.
Ronald enjoyed his retirement, spending time with his family. He enjoyed working in his wood shop building. He also enjoyed his collection of trains and guns. Ronald was well known for his sense of humor. Special thanks to Geisinger doctors and nurses for all the care over the past four years of Ronald’s battle with cancer.
There will be a viewing 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb.17, 2021, at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville.
