Shirley Hook Obituary

Shirley Mae Hook, 89, of New Lancaster Valley Road, Milroy, passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 26, 2020, at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. Born Oct. 7, 1930 in Belltown, she was a daughter of the late James Carl Wray, Sr. and Phronie Mae (Paul) Wray. Her husband, Merle E. Hook, whom she married May 13, 1950, preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 2018. Surviving are: children, Carmen D. Dashem of Reedsville, Patricia M. Fultz and husband Kenneth L. of McClure; a sister, Nancy A. Stains of Lewistown; five grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by siblings, James C. Wray, II, Elmer E. Wray, Betty J. Ishler, Gerald F. Wray and Leon R. Wray. She had worked at Arrow Shirt Co., Lewistown.
