Walter 'Allan' Spigelmyer Obituary

  Walter ‘Allan’ Spigelmyer, 83, of McClure, passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 2, 2021, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.  Born Dec. 16, 1937 in Alfarata, he was a son of the late Walter Elwood and Allegra Frances (Baker) Spigelmyer.  His wife, Mary Jane (Kibe) Spigelmyer, whom he married June 29, 1957, survives.

  Also surviving are: two sons, Allan W. Spigelmyer and wife Deborah, Kenneth M. Spigelmyer and wife Christina all of McClure; two sisters, Brenda Coleman and husband Richard of Harrisburg, Sheila Burns and husband Robert of Reedsville; seven grandchildren, Becky, Sarah, Allan, Laura, Kendra, Kent, Joel; ten great grandchildren, and one due in December.

  He had worked at Standard Steel-Melt Shop, Burnham, for 35 years.  He was a 1955 graduate of Lewistown High School, and a member of The N.R.A, Train Collectors Association of America, United Steelworkers Union, and the Victory Baptist Church in Selinsgrove.

  There will be a funeral service 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021 at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with Rev. Robert Rines officiating.  A viewing will be held two hours before the funeral.  Interment will be in Samuels Church Cemetery.
