Wayne Fogleman Obituary

Wayne Allen Fogleman, 93, formerly of Reedsville, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, at William Penn Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lewistown.

He was born May 8, 1929 in Juniata County, a son of the late John H. and Martha (Snouffer) Fogleman. He was first married to Norma B. (Bonson) Fogleman who preceded him in death on March 11, 1998. He then married Beverly (Haubert) Hassinger Fogleman who survives.

He is also survived by: his son, Kip A. Fogleman, of Milroy; a daughter-in-law, Sara Fogleman, of Mifflintown; three grandchildren, Rebecca Mieffert and husband, Keith, of Mifflintown, Mark Fogleman and wife, Sadaf, of Brookline, MA, and Lauren Fogleman, of Lock Haven, as well as five great-grandchildren, Garrett Mieffert, Macks Mieffert, James Fogleman, Alina Fogleman, and Naila Fogleman.

Along with his parents and his first wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, Ned A. Fogleman, in 2021, and his siblings, Harry Fogleman, Esther Leidy, Wanda Berlin and Isabel Quigley.

Wayne served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed for the telephone company and the cable TV company for a number of years, until he began his own construction business called Wayne Fogleman Construction, which he ran for over 26 years. Also, during this same time, he worked as a farmer.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Siglerville, and he enjoyed going fishing.

His graveside service will be private and at the convenience of the family at Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy. Pastor Vaughn Kanagy will officiate.
