William L. Maben, Jr., 73, formerly of Milroy, passed away Tuesday evening, Aug. 18, 2020, at William Penn Healthcare, Lewistown. Born Feb. 25, 1947 in Lewistown, he was a son of the late William L. Maben, Sr. and Betty L. (Swanger) Maben. His wife, Connie Jean (Orner) Maben, whom he married Dec. 16, 1967, survives.
Also surviving are: daughters, Stacey Ripple and husband Rick of Milroy, Wendy Benson and husband Brian of McVeytown; step sisters, Kay Damicantonio of Milroy, Connie Wagner of Lewistown; grandchildren, Stefani Powell, Shawni Powell, Seth Benson, Zane Benson; step granddaughter, Hannah Ripple; great grandchildren, Skylin, Nova, Ivory, Rheena, and Sawyer.
He had worked at the Belleville Foundry, and previously at J-Wood. He was a 1967 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School, and was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of Vietnam. He was an avid fly fisherman, who owned and operated Bill’s Hackle Shop in Naginey. He enjoyed spending time at the Mifflin County Airport.
